If You feel overwhelmed

  1. Take a break. Get cozy. Wrap yourself in a soft blanket.

  2. Snuggle a loved one or a pet.

  3. Get outside and put your bare feet on the ground if possible.

  4. Take slow deep breaths.

  5. Move your body. Dance, walk, run, hike, play.

  6. Eat a nourishing meal or grab your favorite drink.

  7. Listen to your favorite music. Sing or scream if it feels comfortable.

  8. Get creative. Draw, paint, play music, write, sew, make something for no reason.

  9. Take a hot bath or a cold shower.

  10. Use supportive touch like hands over heart, or self hug, or gentle tapping.

  11. Play. Roller skate, jump on a trampoline, make a friendship bracelet. Do something your younger self loved to do.

  12. Reach out to a trusted friend, coach or therapist if you need additional support.
